Samuel Hill

Samuel Hill of St. Clair Shores was sworn into the MRCC during the United Brotherhood of Carpenters 40th Annual National Convention in August, 2010.

Hill served in the 2nd Battalion, 10th Marine, 2nd Marine Division and spent time overseas during Desert Storm. He entered the MRCC through the Helmets to Hardhats program and now belongs to Local 1045.

Norbert Pattinaude

The MRCC salutes Marine Corps Sgt. Norbert Pattenaude of Lincoln Park, Mich. This proud MRCC Member, Local 687, served two tours of duty in Iraq, Jan.-Oct., 2004 and July, 2005-March, 2006. He is currently enlisted in the reserves, MWSS 471 Det Bravo.

Pattenaude entered the MRCC through the Helmets to Hardhats program and works for Fluor Concrete at Marathon Refinery in Detroit.

“I would like to give a huge thanks to the Helmets to Hardhats program and the MRCC local 687 for providing me with such a stable stepping stone in the extremely difficult process of starting a civilian career after active duty military service.
